Overseeing Communications, Finance, IT, and Risk Management with teams managing internal and external messaging, accounting and budgeting, support of on-campus technological infrastructure, and risk mitigation.
Revenue
Focused on revenue generation and elevating the guest experience at RDU, includes teams for Parking, Marketing and Graphic Design, Commercial Management and oversight of RDU's in-terminal Concessions Program.
Legal & HR
Responsible for Auditing, Legal Affairs, Human Resources, and the Small Business Program, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing legal matters, supporting employee relations, and fostering small business partnerships.
Operations & Safety
Includes teams for Operations, Facilities Maintenance, Police, and Fire and Rescue - ensuring day-to-day airport functions, facility upkeep, public safety and security, and emergency response.
Development
Encompassing teams for Engineering, Building Systems, Planning, and Sustainability - focused on infrastructure design, system maintenance, future growth, and environmental initiatives.

Under the general direction of the Airport Duty Manager or higher authority, oversees landside and airside Airport Operations. Directs and participates in the inspection of airfield facilities including, airport grounds, parking facilities, runways, taxiways, aircraft aprons, gate assignments, and service roadways to assure safety, security, and efficiency of operations.
Performs general law enforcement and security work to protect life and property in the Airport Authority community. Enforces state laws and local ordinances set forth in the guidelines of RDU Airport Authority policies and procedures.
Ensures smooth and efficient operation of the HVAC systems, keeping the RDU Airport Authority facilities running like a well-tuned aircraft. This role navigates through a variety of maintenance challenges, much like a skilled pilot adapting to changing conditions, ensuring the safe and reliable function of our public facility. Additionally, the HVAC Maintenance Mechanic plays a crucial role in weather-related operations, such as snow removal or hurricane preparedness, ensuring our 24/7 operation remains airborne without turbulence.

Volunteer at RDU
Since 1997, RDU’s Navigators volunteer program has contributed more than 200,000 hours to RDU customers. Volunteer Ambassadors provide passenger assistance and answer questions from individuals traveling through Raleigh-Durham International Airport. Identified by RDU-branded vests, Navigators can be found throughout the airport working side by side with staff to better-serve our customers.
